An individual plowed their black BMW into pedestrians at high speed at a crowded Christmas market in Germany at around 7 p.m. local time Friday, resulting in at least two deaths and an estimated 60 people injured. The suspected driver, a 50-year-old Saudi doctor, was arrested after the incident.

Reports surfaced that a driver drove through the crowds at a Christmas market in the German city of Magdeburg, with police closing down the market in response, according to the British Broadcasting Corporation.

The suspected driver has been arrested by authorities, with an "extensive police operation" taking place shortly after the tragic event, the BBC added.

The claims about the man's motives for this barbaric attack are conflicted and unclear. He claimed to be an atheist and his media practice over the last ten years supports that. He believed that the German government was directly supporting the Islamisation of Europe.

Others claim that he was a Shia activist using deception to conceal his true identity (taqiyya). He hated Germans even more than Muslims.

Makes you wonder at the state of psychiatry in Germany that such a diabolical person was allowed to practice at all. Psychologists fail to spot liars most of the time and thereby end up affirming the liar's false sense of identity and the lies that make them feel special.

The public prosecutor's office now accuses A. of five counts of murder and 200 counts of attempted murder. It is said that he acted alone.

BKA President Holger Münch also stated on Sunday on ZDF that there was "no indication of an Islamist-motivated attack, quite the opposite". The case showed a "completely different motivation", he said, adding that it was an "untypical perpetrator who does not fit into such a pattern".

Over the weekend, more and more details about A.'s background became known:

Taleb A. repeatedly presented himself as an ex-Muslim in online postings, criticizing the persecution of those who had left the religion in Saudi Arabia, and also gave newspaper interviews in the FAZ and Frankfurter Rundschau. "I am the most aggressive critic of Islam in history," he said there.

Over time, however, his attacks increasingly targeted German authorities or non-governmental organizations that allegedly also persecuted "Islam critics" in this country. He repeatedly attacked them in online posts and also filed complaints with the authorities. On social media, he became increasingly radical and drifted to the right. Germany wanted to "Islamize Europe," he wrote.

He named men like Elon Musk and the Dutch right-wing extremist Geert Wilders as role models . A. also dreamed of a joint project with the AfD: an academy for ex-Muslims. "Who else is fighting Islam in Germany?" he asked on X. He wished death on Angela Merkel for her "criminal secret project to Islamize Europe."

A. had an assault rifle as his profile picture and asked: "Is there a way to justice in Germany without blowing up a German embassy or indiscriminately massacring German citizens? I have been looking for this peaceful path since January 2019 and have not found it."

A. shared hundreds of conspiracy-ideological posts, videos taken out of context and openly showed himself to be an AfD sympathizer.

Criminal proceedings were also pending against A.

In addition, several criminal proceedings were also underway against A., most recently in Berlin. In February 2024, A. is said to have tried to file a complaint at a Berlin police station. When he was dissatisfied with the result, he is said to have called the emergency number. He received a penalty order for "misuse of emergency calls" and lodged an appeal. It was not until Thursday, one day before the crime in Magdeburg, that A. was supposed to appear before the Tiergarten District Court - which he did not do.

Regarding the motive for the rampage at the Christmas market, senior public prosecutor Horst Walter Nopens said at the weekend that a possible trigger could have been "dissatisfaction with the way Saudi Arabian refugees are treated."

In atheism they don't have Christ as their guide but rather start viewing people as just highly evolved apes instead of beings that have intrinsic value. Muhammad spoke very ill will of many non believes which is why you see muslims doing this junk on a much larger scale.

My theory is that he still had the impulse to kill those who he felt deserved it - from his Muslim background. Becoming an atheist and having continual exposure to crazy people in his job just removed all the reasons why that might be a bad idea.
