Well, Beastt actually made statements showing that actually he doesn't understand Christian thinking on these points. Put in context and not reduced ("when a fact is reduced, it ceases to be a fact inasmuch as it is reduced") it's not baseless.Funny; I'm a Christian and I agree completely with Beastt. You just seem to be deflecting debate with baseless "you can't understand" assertions.
I've only had one person approach me, actually; perhaps they're capable of noticing the atheist icon themselves and choosing someone else
And I was showing you why it's disgusting. It can be bigotry in a different way, but people really need to quit comparing me to a lynch mob, know what I'm saying? And I mean a real, honest-to-God lynch mob. Disgusting.
I agree. That alone is enough to polarize people against option #1.And I was showing you why it's disgusting. It can be bigotry in a different way, but people really need to quit comparing me to a lynch mob, know what I'm saying? And I mean a real, honest-to-God lynch mob. Disgusting.
simple and perfect solution. we did this on our team as a Mod. Herev and P_G were called many times to minister.actually, why couldn't there be a rule that if ANYONE got a pm from a seeker we would automatically refer them to the pastoral team?
Weeelllll, technically, my post was not aimed at any specific person. Your was. You could have simply disagreed with my post rather than railing at me personally.

Is everybody tired of yelling at each other yet?
'Cause there's work to do.
For those of you who are adamantly opposed to non-Christian mods, okay. That is but one point of Option 2. However, if you go with Option 2, this is what you will be destroying:

AMEN!Actually between the posts that compare the old CF to Nazis/Hitler and the ones that compare it to slavery/the civil rights movement, it leaves a very bad taste in one's mouth. To think that anyone here is persecuted to that extent is absolutely ludicrous. If they were, I'm sure they'd walk away, or run, without hesitation. It sure would be nice if everyone came back down to earth and talked more realistic-like.
Aaaah... that is what some would think, but... many people come to CF searching and sincerely seeking and the first people they will turn to is a moderator and thus... being a moderator is not only janitorial, but also ministerial... it's a combo platter. Also, there will be Christians who are struggling and they will seek out a moderator to ask questions and request prayers.
So, being a moderator is 2 things... that go hand n hand... janitorial and ministerial. That is why only Christians should be moderators. But at the same time, those who are not Christians should still be able to serve CF in some other capacity. Why? Because all of us who are apart of this community should serve in some capacity or another.
