• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

The big problem is that there is no good solid definition of asperger's syndrome and if a doctor say that someone has asperger's syndrome it may just make everything worse. Trust me i know what i am talking about.
After primary/elementary school I went to a small gymnasium with much IT in the classes. Something happened in my life by that time which made me tired of school and IT so I missed a lot of classes so after two years i went to another school with classes for people who was said to have asperger's syndrome. That was not too good for me. One of the problems for me in the gymnasium was often that I had a hard time taking contact with other people and even asking teacher's about help. So the good thing was that the asperger's classes was small and we worked with computers. The bad things was that sometimes in the small classes we had group discussions with the teachers but sometimes the teachers wouldn't help me talking (like asking me to talk) and then working too much with the computer helped me wathing youtube videos instead of doing school work. I also hated the atheistic atitued in all the schools i went to. I never completed the gymnasium so now I hope for a catholic school to help me. They seem nice and not to stupid like many other schools. People and teachers should help student who have problem taking contact with other people. This is why the label "asperger's syndrome" sometimes doesn't help you at all.
This is all i can say for now.
Maybe my explanaition is a bit difficult to read beacuse I just don't like to discuss private maters on the internet.
