Asking God to have a relationship with somebody..?

Of course, my relationship with God should come first. And I feel somewhat close to God

But what about asking God to help you get through to somebody, and maybe have a relationship with?
Have you ever asked God to help you have a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship with a specific person? Do you think that's the wrong thing to pray for?

Thoughts here, thanks!:)

I'm aware of that. But I'd never think that God could be "pestered". Of course, I know to talk to this guy, but I need some guidance to go about it.

Well how is praying to god going help you receive guidance?

Does he actually talk back? Does he explain things to you?

If you ask God to guide you he will. Does he talk back? Not in an audible voice, but you can tell when he is guiding you and leading you.

I'm taken by Jesus =] sorry <3 haha
But other wise, im not looking for a relationship[physically] at the moment since I'm doing totally fine being a single boy yet Taken by Jesus.
Yet one day, i Pray that God will give me an honest and faithful woman of God... that loves God! Beauty and personality, yes =]
I've never really pray for help with any of my exs before since Christ wasn't really known in my life back then but now days, I pray to one of my exs that Loves God too yet struggling in Guam with her high school days =/ but hopefully, Through Christ, anything is possible.
And i think it's not a wrong thing to pray for because hey, love thy neighbor as thy self nawmeen? As long as you care, God will care for you much more =D

You guys are aware that prayer has never been demonstrated to have reliable effects? For instance its properties for healing (praying to God to heal someone) are as exactly as effective as not praying i.e, praying makes no difference whether a person will recover. This has been proven scientifically by double blind tests that remove any bias. If he's not answering peoples prayers to heal people then what make you think he's answering your dating conundrums?

I think the right way to approach this would be to ask God if this is the right person for you. And ask that if it is that you will have the opportunity to step into a relationship.
I think it is also important that even at your age you are praying that you will find the right person for you to marry. :)

Its more about asking God for wisdom. He promises to answer prayers. This verse is my response:

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened."--Mathew 7:7-8

In my opinion, praying to God and asking him to make someone be your significant other doesn't seem right. HOWEVER, I do believe that, prior to entering into a relationship with someone, you should pray to God to see if it is something that will bring honor to him, or if it is Satan trying to distract you from God using a physical person.

Ya see.. I have a strange theory that you can choose to believe or not. We all pray for things that we want. Whether it be a girlfriend/boyfriend, money, or talent. My theory is if the object we desire in our heart is not part of God's will, no matter how hard we pray he won't give it too us.

Sorry this is kinda late...
Personally I've found that God is much better than us at knowing who we should date..so maybe pray for your future husband, and that God will bring you together when it's right?
My boyfriend is the person I'm meant to marry..we've both been told, and he is WAY more perfect for me than anyone I would have picked! Strange hoe God knows us better than we know ourselves, eh? :p So stay patient, and don't think this is too trivial, he cares about every hair on your head...how much more will he care about who you become joined to?!
God bless xx
