In one hour, I am giving a speech in one of my classes about Sexual Assault. I didn't know what day it would be on when I signed up to do it. Ironically, today is the birthday of my ex. It's not a good day for me. I'm really nervous about the speech. Please pray for me to have the strength to talk about this.

Well, the prayer definitely helped. It went so well! My teacher told me that it was the best presentation he had ever seen in that class!

As for the healing, I think I'm about as past it as I can be... there's still certain days (like this one) where I get down, but I don't have the triggers and flashbacks anymore, and I don't think about all the time anymore, either. I'm really moving forward. And, yes, this speech I gave went so well and it was really empowering, as always, to advocate.

Presentations on this topic can be hard. I had a class last year where one of my friends revealed she had been raped. I had to leave the classroom because it bothered me so much.

Congrats for doing such a good job on it.
