CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I acctually got a degree as a computer specialist and graducated then decided that wasnt what i wanted to do so thought nursing would be interesting maybe. I always said when I was younger that i would NEVER be a nurse but now that I am I absolutly love my job. I work in NICU and newborn nursery.

I have been a nurse for going on 5 years (since I was 19yo)
The best part of my job is when my patient (I float to adult floors too) tells me that I have been the best nurse they have had and that they really appreciate all that I did for them that I really made a difference in their life. We get alot of really young moms at my hosptial becuase we are a speailty hosptial. The best part about it is knowning you made a differnce in someones life. Knowing some decision you made just saved this babys life and without you it would be dead. Knowing that becuase of you these parents are happy again because their child is getting better!

Awwww that's really awesome! That's a whole lot of the reason that I would like to get into it. I love helping people. I love encouraging people. I predict that feeling that you just saved someone's life is indescribable.

sorry it has taken me so long to reply. I worked all weekend and this weekend was one from you know what. We delievered 3 dead babies and also had another die so this weekend was not the greatest. This is the part of my job I hate the most but alas someones gotta do it.
