  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Oh goody I'm first. Hii *waves*
What's your favorite childhood memory? Favorite kind of cake? and hmm..What's your style of the way you dress?
Favorite childhood memory would have to be at Disney World when I got to meet the Teenage Ninja Turtles!!! They were my heros and at 4, I was amazed by them!

Favorite Cake? German Chocolate... although I don't really like cake.

I dress like a normal guy, t-shirt and shorts during the summer, that is unless I want to impress then usually I wear a button down or a collard shirt. For the winter, it's jeans and a hoodie... of course unless I want to impress and it's back to the button down or collard shirt!

:)

Hard or soft ice cream?
About your user name, have you really smelled linty fresh 85 times?
If so, what does lint smell like? I've never noticed a distinct odour?
Hard or Soft Ice cream? I didn't know there was different types of ice cream, but if I had to choose it'd be the soft enough to scoop with a spoon, but hard enough not to be soupy kind... A good middle ground would be perfect.

Hahaha, my user name is a combination of my last name Lint and me seeing a commercial for gum that called it "mintyfresh" so I was like hmmm lets make it Lintyfresh instead... 85 is my birth year so add it all up and you have Lintyfresh85.

What does it smell like? Well I think I smell pretty good if that counts for anything lol... but no never actually smelled the lint material. Sorry.:p

Have you gone on vacation and
If so where did you go?
I've been to a lot of places on vacation before..

Yearly I go to either Myrtle Beach, SC or Topsail, NC with family and friends... both great beaches!

I've been to Las Vegas when I was 13 or 14, and Omaha, NE for the College World Series *baseball* as a graduation gift from HS!

Also been on two cruises to the Bahamas that I enjoyed very much!

Whats your favorite type of music?

What are your favorite things to do during your spare time?

Whats your dream job?
My favorite type of music is definitely Rock. Now I'm not a huge fan of the 70's or 80's type rock but I love most of the stuff you hear on the radio today.

Stuff like 3 Doors Down, Panic! At the Disco, Brand New, Cartel, My Chemical Romance, Carbon Leaf, Muse, Staind... etc...

Also like some rap/rock like Linkin Park, and Gym Class Heroes.

My favorite things to do in my down time are to watch Baseball, play video games, read comics and books, watch tons of movies and tv shows like LOST!

As for my dream job? Well I'm kind of working it right now... I went to school for communications and I wrote for the school paper... Well right now I'm actually working for a weekly paper in a town close to mine. I work in the editorial department and so far I'm loving it! I'd eventually like to either write a book or continue what I'm doing but make more money :)

◘ If you could go anywhere, where would you go and who would you want to take with you?
I'd like to take a cruise to Alaska on my Honeymoon with whoever my recently married bride is. I think there'd be nothing more relaxing and beautiful than a trip to Alaska where we can enjoy fine dining every night and take in the amazing beauty of nature along the way. Seems perfect to me! :)

I have always wanted to go to Alaska... but perhaps in the summer. I'm not a huge fan of cold weather! Lol

◘ Have you ever met an internet friend in real life?

◘ Have you ever written something, and published it on the internet?

◘ When was the last time you read a book over 700 pages long?

No I've never met a friend from online...yet. I do have mainly internet friends that I met in person first, but for whatever reason I don't get to see them much so I have to talk online to them more than in person... but more and more I'm becoming ok with the idea of meeting someone from online. :)

In fact I have written something! I was a communications major in college and I worked for the school paper... first as a reporter, then as a Movie reviewer... Here's a list of the articles the school put online on their web site... http://www.critograph.com/home/inde...splaysearchresults&q=David+Lint&tiOrderType=1

I've also worked for a magazine where I had two articles published while I was interning with them... That was a lot of fun...

And finally right now since I am working at a newspaper I will soon start covering local stories and be published there as well... So to answer your question, yes, I've been published before! :)

That's a great question! I don't even know if I have an answer to that one! I don't read a ton of long books, but I do enjoy magazines and books that are under 300 pages... I love to read, but I never seem to have enough time to get into a really long one. Hopefully someday soon that will change!

Whats your dream car?

Whats the silliest thing you've done?
hmm I don't really have a dream car lol... My Honda Civic seems to be pretty reliable so does that count? I'm more of a "having a nice house type of guy"... and less of "having a nice car guy".

Silliest thing I've ever done? Too many to name lol, but when I was a child about 3 or 4 years old, I broke into the medicine cabinet so I could eat some Flintstone Vitamins! I ended up eating 23!!! I had to have my stomach pumped and it was not a good time... but I do have a cool story to tell, and really, how many people can ever say they overdosed on Flintstone Vitamins? I know I can!

Too many movies to name! I loved Transformers though, and I just saw Shooter and thought that was pretty good. The movie that got me really into movies though had to be Independence Day! I loved that movie! Will Smith was great and I thought to myself "this is what a movie should be"... But I'm a fan of whatever entertains me! I posted a list of my favorites a while back... let me see if I can find them...

Ah, here they are :)

Action: Robo Cop

Comedy: Anchorman

Documentary: Comedian *A documentary on Jerry Seinfeld and his return to stand up*

Drama: Legends of the Fall

Horror: Dawn of the Dead *The remake*

Sports: For Love of The Game

Plus special mention for American Psycho, and Independence Day... two classics in their own right!

I do have a favorite book! And it's a child's one as well! The book is Goosebumps #25 Attack of the Mutant.... it's a Goosebumps book about a boy and a comic book super villain who comes to life and tries to take over the town where the boy lives... it's great! I think I've read it about 30 times.

Do I still watch cartoons? LOL, I wish I did! But I'm never awake early enough to catch them! I am a huge Spider-Man, Doug, Hey Arnold, Beast Wars, G.I. Joe, TMNT, Captain Planet, Pinky and the Brain, and Tiny Toons fan though... I loved those shows growing up and they made watching cartoons so much fun!

Favorite actor has to be Tom Hanks! Love everything the man has done. I'm also developing a close liking of Christian Bale... right now that man can do no wrong to me.

Qdoba's- mexican place in town...
Olive Garden- I know it's a chain but I love the food
BW3's- A wing place but I love hanging out with friends watching a game there

As for favorite food? I love Casadias... so anywhere I can a good restaurant quality casadia I'm going to take it! Also love crab cakes... can't forget those! Also any type of pasta, or shrimp and I'm there as well :)
