  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Haha, I do sometimes ;)

I look up geek stuff when it's late and no one is online to talk to.

The other night I was looking up funny scenes from the Star Trek tv series - I found a collection of clips of McCoy saying "[wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth], I'm a doctor, not a _________!", the doctor on Voyager singing a song to the crew when Tuvoc suddenly goes into the Pon Farr, and hilarious Shatner clips.

In the past I've watched vids of people doing dances from World of Warcraft (look up Blizzcon Dance Contest, it's gold), stupid voiced-over old GI Joe PSA ads (I laughed so hard I cried), clips from Ninja Turtles, etc.

When it's late, I find the weirdest stuff absolutely hilarious.

What is your quest?

To venture into the frozen wastes of Northrend and free Azeroth from the plague of undeath sent down upon us by the evil Lich King, formerly the promising Prince Arthas Menethil, future ruler of Lordaeron...

I play World of Warcraft. Some people think that's demonic, but I have a grand ol' time.

I assume that you wanted a serious answer ;)

The first thing that came to my mind was, "To seek knowledge through the guidance of the Holy Spirit". Knowledge of God, knowledge of myself, knowledge of others. To learn compassion and kindness, and to be able to extend those virtues to other people, loving them as Christ has loved me.

That is my ultimate goal.

How often do you play WoW? I play it too, just not as much as I used to :p

I raid every Friday at 9pm EST. Sometimes the guild will run "older" WotLK content on Saturdays too, which is fun. We used to go to AQ/TK/BT on Sunday afternoons but people lost interest once Ulduar came.

I don't play as much as I used to - used to play daily, few hours every night. With everyone so wrapped up in Ulduar progression, there isn't much for me to do. We run pugs on Fridays so I show up for those 'cause they make me still feel wanted, hahaha.

I'm bored, and I'm always up late when no one's around, so I figured I'd start one of these and see if anyone would bite.

Alright, who's up for it? Ask me questions, friends!

Anyone?

Bueller?
If you don't mind me asking, where in Canada are you?

That's the best when characters start saying "[washmymouthwashmymouthwashmymouth]"! I saw a couple of those Blizzcon dance contest videos - very funny and anything but troll-like. I usually do most of my YouTubing when I'm procrastinating during the day.
How did you get into all the geek stuff?

Oh bugger, it got censored. I typed something akin to, "Dangit, man!" haha.

I've been into Star Trek since I was a kid. My dad was a Trekkie and he watched the series all the time - the original series, TNG, then later DS9, Voyager, and Enterprise. I had ST action figures - Riker, Picard, Data, and Troy. In second grade, the teacher had us make a shoebox diarama. I made the bridge of the Enterprise and I was so proud of it. Then when the Star Wars movies were re-released in the mid-90s, I got a TON of action figures. I wanted some "house" to give them, so I made a diarama of the Millennium Falcon and put my dolls in it - LOL.

In terms of gaming... got my first nintendo system when I was 6 or 7 years old ;) Been addicted ever since. My first computer game was Riven in 1997. My brothers got me into World of Warcraft in 2005 and I've been hooked on that ever since. IT IS EPICCCCCC.

:)

Hi Gwendolyn,

Have You seen the new Star Trek movie? Did You like it?

God Bless!

I did see it, and I LOVED it! I was thrown off by a few things - but in the end I thoroughly enjoyed it. I've seen it three times, LOL.
