  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I like Mexican and Chinese.

As a kid I liked Transformers, He-Man, G.I. Joe, Tiny Toon Adventures, Animaniacs, Rocko's Modern Life, Batman, and probably some other stuff I've forgotten.

I took German this past semester. I have a certificate that says I can speak it at a basic level. I read it much better than I can speak it. I know a little bit of Spanish as well.

There's some stuff I keep private. It's not that I think you're a serial killer ( I suspect others of that), but I prefer not to share stuff like that.

I collect comic books in the sense I've bought a lot of them and have a couple big boxes of them. I tried collecting superhero and Star Wars collectibles but didn't have the room to keep it up. I buy a lot of Christian religious items like candles, rosaries, prayer books, icons, etc so I suppose you could say that's my main collection right now besides books and comics.

I had a much larger book collection at one time, but my favorites tend to be ones that have sentimental value. I have a few of my great grandfather's books, and my great grandmother's last Bible. I have a bunch of books that I've been given as gifts that I treasure. I tend to collect Bibles and have a dozen or so and those are also some of my favorites.

No, I've never burned a book. I was a part of a church growing up that held burning services where "evil" music, books, clothing, etc were burned. The image of that kind of stuff really bothers me. I don't think I could do something like that because of all the negative memories and ideas I associate with it.
