I agree. But I believe that I feel God's love, peace and joy.

I agree. But I believe that I feel God's love, peace and joy.

Yes, we can certainly feel love coming from God and from other people, and we can feel love for God and for other people. But our love is not based in how we feel. We love (in action) whether we feel love or not, for we are to love even our enemies. We are to love others even when they are being hateful to us. And there will be times when we will not feel God's love, even if it is there, just because our emotions change and they fluctuate. When a young mom is sick and her little ones are sick, too, she still has to take care of them, and she may not feel like doing that when she is sick, too. But because she loves her little ones, she will do for them what is loving, even if it makes her feel worse, because they have to be cared for. So love is not necessarily absent of emotions, but we must love even if we are not feeling like it, and even if the people we are loving are treating us with hate, in return, for that is how God loved us and gave his life up for us.

Feelings such as joy are important to me. I agree emotions cant be trusted and i have anxiety attacks. But most of the time it's joy. I'm thankful for the joy.

Scripture says the joy of the Lord is our strength. I have battles in the mind but I have times of great joy and that is like nourishment for my hungry soul. I guess
