As I lay you down to sleep
I pray the Lord your soul he'll keep,
I don't want you going
That pain my heart is showing.

Your life has affected mine
Our love stood the test of time,
I can't believe you're leaving
In Him I'll just keep believing.

Your love has affected me
Missing you the world can see,
There isn't a day to go by
That I'm looking for you in the sky.

With the sway of a tree
I know you're watching over me,
Even though I can't see you
I feel and know it's true.

Somehow I'll have to go on
Even though that you're gone,
Missing you every day
More than any words can say.

The debt I owe to you
Your celebration must continue,
Stories of you being told
My love is from the heart and soul.
