AT, this seems rather extreme. Although my interaction with Stormy and Senti has hardly been a love fest
, I have not concluded that Stormy and Senti worship a different God.
Can I offer an example to illustrate my point?
I was an SDA for 30+ years. During that time, my belief system was quite different than it is now. I believed that I must reach a state of sinless perfection in order to stand in the sight of a holy God without a mediator. I believed that the mark of the beast and the seal of God were applied to man according to his sabbath keeping. Through the ministry of the Spirit, I now have a broader perspective of the grace of Jesus Christ. However, I would not say that I previously believed a different God and that I now believe a new and improved God. Rather, I simply say that I previously misunderstood who God is (and that I still misunderstand many aspects of God). I acknowledge that I've always had much to learn, that I still have much to learn and that the Spirit reveals Himself in His timing.
AT, you and I would likely agree that some of the positions taken by Stormy and Senti would not be endorsed by a number of different Christian groups. We would likely agree that some of the statements made in this forum regarding Christ's atonement run contrary to our understanding of the gospel. And yet I also notice that I have been worshipping God for decades, even when I misunderstood him. Why wouldn't I conclude that the same may also be true for Stormy and Senti?
We all misunderstand. There is no one righteous. There is no one who understands. Although my understanding of the Scriptures is currently quite similar to yours, I don't believe that I have it all figured out. I know that there is still much to learn and that my relationship with God does not hinge upon the results of a theology exam.
With all of that said, I'm still pretty new around here, and there may be something going on here that I haven't seen or something that I have misread. Feel free to clarify.
