That’s because that’s the definition of building. The same does not apply to the universe.try again, you don't have to know how a building is made to know it was built.
it's not the definition of a building. Nor is a painting simply something a painter did. That’s because that’s the definition of building. The same does not apply to the universe.
Wow, um... yes, it is. There is more to the definitions of building and painter, sure, but they both include having been built and painted, respectively. This is incredibly dishonest of you.it's not the definition of a building. Nor is a painting simply something a painter did.
Gambling is a sin, isn’t it?Pascals wager: If there was one chance in a million that Jesus abolished death, you owe it to yourself and to your family to get right with God, to turn from your wicked ways and obey the gospel.
no a painting is a piece of art, something that was painted. A definition of a painting is not what you said. You said a definition of a painting was "something a painter did." That is typically not actually in the definition because it's inherently assumed. It is the reason why it is assumed that is my evidence for God. A building is proof there is a builder, a painting is proof there is a painter. You don't have to see the existence of the builder or painter, the work is proof. It is very simple to prove God, a child can and will use this all the time. This is the logic most of the world uses to believe in God. It's very easy.Wow, um... yes, it is. There is more to the definitions of building and painter, sure, but they both include having been built and painted, respectively. This is incredibly dishonest of you.
Um, read my comment again. Then read the definition from the dictionary. Then stop putting words in my mouth. Then start debating honestly. It's ok to admit you were wrong. It's a sign of strength, even.no a painting is a piece of art, something that was painted. A definition of a painting is not what you said. You said a definition of a painting was "something a painter did." That is typically not actually in the definition because it's inherently assumed. It is the reason why it is assumed that is my evidence for God. You see a painting you know a painter did it. You see a created universe you know a creator did it. So again, not dishonest.

so please quote the definition that says "something a painter did."Um, read my comment again. Then read the definition from the dictionary. Then stop putting words in my mouth. Then start debating honestly. It's ok to admit you were wrong. It's a sign of strength, even.

Come on, this is getting extremely petty. Just admit you were wrong and we can move on.
Your probability falsely assumes that there are only 2 space on your roulette wheel (Christian god exists, Christian god doesn’t exist), which is an error. There’s an almost infinite number of spaces describing an almost infinite number of god/bad afterlife scenarios.Pascals wager: If there was one chance in a million that Jesus abolished death, you owe it to yourself and to your family to get right with God, to turn from your wicked ways and obey the gospel.
Thank you for admitting you were wrong. I specifically said that having been painted was included in the definition of “painting,” and the part that I highlighted in bold/italics/underline most closely matches that. I stand by it. In contrast, there is no definition of “universe” that necessitates a creator. So your analogy was indeed a false one. The sooner you realize that the less painful this is going to be.so please quote the definition that says "something a painter did."
I did not see that in your definition or any other definition of painting.
but I went back and I was wrong you did not say what I thought you said, I must have made a mistake, but however if you wish, lets backtrack to this point:
Argument for God's existence.
It’s about as illogical as can be.it's not gambling it's thinking logically using statistics.
I think it says more about us than him that we still give him attention. We should probably all stop. No one’s learning anything, there’s no sport in it, it’s just compulsive behavior at this point. Like that game flappy birds, let’s just let it die.@gradyll Look, I hope you don't consider me to be using as hominem, but I have to point out that you are simply reposting the same arguments that were refuted earlier in the thread, then being soundly refuted, again, and then obviously not realising that you've lost.
I also hope that you won't consider it ad hom if I say I probably won't stick around much longer because your arguments are simply not very interesting.

This has been pointed out to you before, but I thought I’d bring it up again for those just joining in.

I think it's telling that you cant refute my solid proof. I asked you politely to keep going and you just gave up. It's like the wind in your sails just died off. Well, thanks for the debate. I will keep posting this argumentality until someone at least provides an argument worthy of a refutation. You see a building you have proof there was a builder, you see creation you have proof there was a creator. Every athiest believes in a creator, they believe a multiverse created the universe!I think it says more about us than him that we still give him attention. We should probably all stop. I am reminded that sometimes the best thing we can do for someone is to leave them to sort things out for themselves.I proved God in one sentence. I think that is very interesting indeed. But if you must leave, I bid you fair well. Thank you for the debate. If you ever wish to give a stab at my solid proof I posted, i will be here. I am reminded how when a light turns on darkness flees.
I am reminded that sometimes the best thing we can do for someone is to leave them to sort things out for themselves.
Goodbye.
