Are You Ready For This.....
Dear CF Churches,
I have something for us to do.... And we are here to help...your CF staff is calling you to come forward....
We need to start to organize into a group that self moderates or self leads however you want to call it.....In other words, except for manually training you all for Moderation (which will happen after elections are done), we need to start treating you all as staff members, and get you thinking as such, so you can start preparing for many things that Erwin said would be your responsibility once this ball gets rolling
1.You need to start to recognize who makes good leaders (servants) in this group and begin to dialogue with those people and be excited about becoming a part of those motivated to lead.....
2. You need to begin to dialogue about how we will handle the changes that will happen shortly, and move toward constructively making plans that will build on what Erwin has said will be the vision of this place in a few months.
Some examples are:
A. How to welcome in the unbeliever and establish a positive atmosphere for them, so these people will feel like apart of this group as they come in.
B. Discuss the manner in which we will behave toward these people of other Faiths and unbelievers, as they venture in to our domain. We need to work toward finding a common ground of acceptable behavior, and form a few FSRs (Forum Specific Rules) for that behavior which we feel is absolutely unacceptable.
C. How to maintain Our Identity as an SR Faith group within CF, and still be an open group to the lost. What is our faith statement? Do we agree with that? What is our mission now? New goals? Resurrected Goals that were lost along the way?
D. What is really important to us? What is the one thing we would like to hold onto? What are we ashamed of that we would like to see end right now as this new CF is being formed?
E. We need to begin to think about FSRs that will help us with our absolutes, things we will absolutely not budge on ...These will be based on the things we are most worried about happening because of these new changes, things that will compromise us or make us feel hopeless (like our forum will fall apart if we dont have them).... these rules are our "safety net"... Dont solidify them as law yet but just have them in mind, so as a group they will be ready to present to Erwin or whoever he has in charge.
3.This is all new to us. Please be encouraged that what is before us will be a higher calling than we have ever had, and now you all will be both ministers and leaders to many who come in seeking Jesus Now is a good time to talk about what your role will be in this forum and what you can offer this group....
I have no idea how Erwin will train us all in running this place, but I do know the burden will be all of ours and we need to get ready for that....
If you have any other ideas , we can use them as well ....The better equipped we, are the better this place will look now that the doors are open, and as the new CF gets off the ground....
The Moderation team and I are here for you the whole way Remember our goal is to train you all so well, we can be replaced when the time comes... (of course there is the hope that many of our members will keep us around)
