Do you get angry when you reply with a witty quip so good that Eddie Murphy would be proud, and you don't receive your due rep?

Does it annoy you and baffle you when see an utter cretin with a ridiculous rep score?

When you get a "" or a "" in response to one of your posts, do you die a little inside when you haven't received any rep?

I love giving reps, when it is deserved, and I will give them if I can't think or if I am too busy to contribute to the discussion.
I don't expect them back and don't get overly obsessed about them.

The bigger question is - does creating a thread like this get all the Rep harlots together in one place, where they will proceed to ascend into a never-ending stratosphere of mutual repping?

And even more important, perhaps - was my contribution to this thread a transparent attempt to get my piece of the pie?

But nah - in all seriousness, I couldn't care less. It does bug me, however, when I see people with large reputations that I feel they didn't earn. I dislike that people might be led to agree with them, simply because in the past a large number of people agreed with them about something unrelated.

Oooh, I have lots of them, it's actually quite a source of pride when I look at the list of infractions, with their pretty yellow and red cards next to them

Before I joined staff, I probably had more infractions than all of you combined. I was exonerated of most of them on appeals, otherwise I'd have been permabanned over a year ago.

Oh, and I just repped everyone who posted in the thread so far, just for fun.

I must admit to my shame, while it isn't vital to me, I do check my reps. What I've found strange is how often I get repped for posts that I didn't think were that good, while my best posts often go unrepped.

I used to. I was once a repaholic but now I have overcome the addicton by pure self-control. I a lot of reps anyway so I don't really look as much as I used to.

I like getting reps for posts I think were good ones, especially if the repper adds a comment. That's the only reason I ever give anyone reps myself. I usually don't bother giving reps to people who have millions of them, because I reason that they aren't interested in responses to their posts, but just in having lots of 'game' reps. I expect those people likely never bother to read any comments attached to their reps, or even think there's anything special about the post the reps are attached to, because they must get hundreds a day. I will, however, if I'm really impressed with their post, but it always seems a bit pointless.
