We have heard David prayed :
Hear my cry, O God, listen to my prayer; -Psalms 61:1
from the end of the earth I call to you when my heart is faint. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I, -Psalms 61:2
why David considered himself at the end of the earth ?

Sometimes it is possible for a person to get sick of themselves in this flesh. Such a thorn in the side, pains the human.
Oh how my own life has been at the edge of the earth to the point of only desire of wanting the pain and suffering to end yet... in my prayers God keep me from going back to those things that were such a thorn that plagued my mind, soul, and heart. May the goodness of what your use for me be used for your purposes oh Lord God, though my desire of wanting to leave this earth, may you make use of me towards others be for the good of your kingdom while I live.
Maybe this is what is being referred to... we must stand on that foundation that Christ Jesus has laid for us, that can not be swayed by wind, or burned down by fire.
Keep in contact with God... Lord Jesus Christ... and allow the spirit to help as you call out for the strength to overcome the things of the flesh that can plague us such as being not worthy, or that we feel we are unusable, or that we start to slide into hating ourselves, or others.
Call out to God for help with anxieties, self-control, insecurities, whatever is plaguing you... even in sickness, and almost near death... hold on to faith.
Rejoice in all the people God has allowed you to meet, see, talk to, love, and care for. Rejoice in all the the people even the bad you had may have done, that they learned not to be like you when you once were that person. Rejoice in all that good people learned from you, that you may had done for them (by the spirit after turning your life towards God) in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the Glory of God.
God is strong enough to help... believe and do not doubt.
