  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

So..just wondering how many people here are voting? Do you vote? I fnot, why not?

For myself..I don't vote. I think it's pointless...it's a way to make you think you have some kind of control of the country...but you really don't. No matter who you vote for..they are liars. It's not about voting for the lesser of the 2 evils...it's about thinking you have the right to choose. Back in the Presidential debates we had a choice between Gore or Bush...but you know what...both only say what you want to hear...not what they stand for. So really..when you vote...you're not really voting for anything really. States will still make up new taxes and put them out there without the peoples approval, States will still make up their own laws that are unconstitutional and not ask us. So really...there's no point. I never plan to vote for anything. :)

I do think our country is in trouble when it comes to the political arena...but I still vote...still try to make some kind of decision with what we have to work with...feel our moral and spiritual decay is the real problem...it affects every area of our life.

We vote absentee ballot now...much easier for us.

My family and I vote. Between us we have five in our household who vote in all local, state and national elections. Believe it or not, folks who don't vote are making a huge impact on our political landscape.

I voted in a general election for the first time this year, and the candidate I voted for, a committed and active Christian, won for the first time in years, by just over 200 votes, a very small margin. So I am a firm believer that every vote counts......

Unfortunately, I have moved since then so he is no longer my MP, but my parents still live there and I am sure I could go through them to lobby for any action on a national scale. I don't know much about the MP in my new area.

I don't think I'll ever understand that line of thinking. Anyway, I voted first thing this morning. I consider it a privilege.

Nope i believe God has a plan for everything...what will happen only he knows....
So don't vote?

Am I going to help my neighbor today? Am I going to eat today? Am I going to go to church this evening? Am I going to go to work in the morning? Am I going to pray for the lost today? Nope. God has a plan for every thing. What will happen, only He knows......

Voting is not just a privilege but a christian obligation! There are times when it takes a lot of thought and effort to determine the best person or issue to vote for but if we dont vote we've no one to blame but ourselves for what comes to be!

God is sovereign BUT, He uses means and that is us, to bring about His plan! 'Who know but we were born for such a time as this?' Remember, in the book of Esther?

"Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king's palace any more than all the other Jews. For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" Esther 4:13,14

Each of us has a share in our world, placed here for a purpose and declining to vote is to reject your responsibility!

The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing!!

So VOTE, at every opportunity and make your voice heard!

Blessings,

I do not intend to even post my political views here,as this is not the forum for such a question,We all should have ignored this one from the beginning and asked the OP to move it to another forum. We are striving to keep this forum from ANY and ALL controversial subjects! There are hundreds of other forums for that. Please,Please. Please help us keep one FREE of such! Let's let this post die and stay buried! if anyone wishes to respond to me,please do it by PM ,not in this thread. Thank You and God Bless You!
