Are you a Gamer or Not?

I've heard this topic being tosed around other forums such as the G4TechTV Forums, and to your point, what really is a gamer?

I think one is if you play video games on at least a daily schedule, but what do you think about this?

I don't know about daily schedule. I have played loads of games in my life. And consider myself a gamer, but I don't play them everyday. In fact when school is in session, I don't have time to play at all.

Indeed. I play as often as I can, which lately isn't much due to my busy schedule.

A gamer is simply someone who enjoys playing games. An Avid gamer is someone who plays games every day.

And an obsessive gamer is the guy who sits there while his wife pants in the doorway that her water just broke and says, "Okay honey, brt. I'm almost to the next save marker."

I mean, how pathetic is that? Any decent husband would just pause the game till he could go drop his wife off at the ER and come back.

I don't play videogames every day, but I'm still one of the best gamers in the world, based on my track record.

Games come and go. Sometimes I can go a whole year without playing, then turn around and play 10 hours a day for many months straight.

i'd call myself an avid gamer, i play video games at least 30 minutes a day, but i'm only 14

I would have to say that yes, I am a gamer. I play games almost everyday, have Xbox Live, and have my xbox visualy modded as well as my controller. Ya, Im a gamer.

In my opinion if you play games you are a gamer. I dont think you become a gamer only if you play over a certain amount of time each day or each week. Just my opinion.
