  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

My boyfriend and I are both Christians, and have been since we were children. We've continuously gone to church our whole lives (although to different churches). We pray with each other over meals and if something is especially troubling to one or both of us, talk about God and how He is working in our lives, attend each other's churches when possible, and are reserving certain things for marriage because we know that is what God commands of us.

We have never especially talked about having a God-centered relationship, or commiting it to Him...I mean, not used those words. But, anyhow, are we on the right track, at least? I'd like to think we are. Please tell me how your relationship with your SO is God-centered, or how you commited it to Him. Thanks!

Sounds to me like you have things more together than a lot of people, including myself!

Hey, it's always good to ask, right?

I think you're definitely headed in the right direction. Perhaps a good conversation with him about what a G-d centered relationship would look like down the road as you get more committed would be a good idea at some point. :)

sounds like ur on the right track to me! maybe the two of u could try talking about building ur relationship with God (together) and how to make your relationship more christ centered. also, make it a habit to pray together as much as you can...maybe on the phone before u go to sleep. that's what my boyfriend and i do.

Agreed. My bf and I also pray every night together, he lives 2 hr away and we only see eachother every 2 weeks. We have grown a lot closer to eachother and our relationship has grown closer to God because of it.
