  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

There are people who say, that once you become a Christian that you are God?

Where do they get this?
The only people I know of who say this are Eastern Orthodox, which is unsurprising considering the absence of contrition in their humanistic religion. (They do tend to behave as if they are God, anyway! ;) )

Where do they get this?
-Free interpretation of the Bible to whatever one wishes
-Lack of spiritual guidance
-Lack of humility
-Some sort of Napoleon Complex issue
-Extreme views of "I've been baptized, I'm free to behave however I wish because no matter what I do in this life, God will take me into heaven whether I'm repentant or not"
-Lack of repentance

Pick any. :)

Gravely false and greatly un-Christian to say.

I am guessing it is a misapplication of verses like:
2 Peter 1:4 by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, that through these you may escape from the corruption that is in the world because of passion, and become partakers of the divine nature.

Galatians 2:20 ...it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me...

1 Colossians 1:24 ...for the sake of his body, that is, the church...

Romans 8:16-17 it is the Spirit himself bearing witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ...
Man is not divinity, nor does Scripture ever say so. He would have to be a source, which he is, of course, not.
