Incessant dog barking has led to heath issues, suicide, and murder, it is one of the worst things you can do to your neighbor. I am trying to find a Christian Legal specialist to advise me about how to file a dog barking issue or a misdemeanor in small claims court.

Not an attorney, but I would call your local Sheriff department and ask them. Many cities have noise ordinances and can help in these types of situations. Have you tried writing a letter or knocking on their door and politely asking if they could help keep their dog quiet so you can sleep. This is why I live in the country, I love peace and quiet. I hope it works out for you. God bless!

Of course, I asked them many times to supervise their vicious guard dog. They would for a few days, but then let the dog run down to my place again and again. This has been going on for four years. I would like some legal advice about how a lawyer would proceed in this matter. I really want this dog to be contained in an area whereby it cannot come near my home on the property we share. I put my hand outside my window one day, not knowing that dog was there, and it almost tore it off. No joke! I need to take them to court, but I want good legal advice first so I can win this case.

A church secretary might be able to recommend a Christian lawyer for you. However, they might charge you several hundreds of dollars just to listen to you, If your town has a municipal court, you can call the court clerk and ask them how a small claim would be filed. The basis for your claim would be the cost of medical treatment for being bitten, health costs for sleeplessness, and any other expenses. Documentation will be key.

If your town has a college with a law school, you might find a student willing to help you for the experience.

Hey Glenn,

Judging from your name, I would think you're in Indianapolis. If so, you can go to indy.gov to report complaints about the dogs being loose and barking.
