Today I read a story about a woman, the second this past year, who cut open another woman to steal her unborn child. In the course of a conversation with some friends of mine I remarked that it seemed to me that this was the worst crime that one person could commit against another.
I thought long and hard about that. And I failed to find another crime so heinous, so heartless, so harmful as that. No torture, no deception, no wrong that I could recall or conceive of matched this one.
What does that mean to me? It means that the cup may very well be full. If it's not, it's closer than I really had ever considered. Sure, I knew that time was short. But the fact that it was conceiveable that time had begun to actually close was a new thought.
In Re 14:18, we read, "And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe."
We know that these are not the fruit of the Vine Jesus Christ, because they are "cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God (verse 19)."
this has been a sobering Revelation for me, brothers and sisters. I beg you, pray that God will reveal the wickedness of your heart to you. Pray that He will show you the unclean things and be ready.
"And look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh."
May God bless you, and use you to BE a blessing,
