I watch a lot of tv and maybe that is not a good thing as it does or could have the possibility that it would interfere with Bible studying and prayer time with God. Are there any reality tv shows that are not sinful for Christians to watch? Are there or is there such thing as a clean and/or wholesome reality tv show, or should all of them be avoided? I avoid those that have a lot of cursing, demeaning, or fighting, but how about those that don't feature any of those things. When God's word mention about abstaining from the appearance of evil, would reality television, or television in general, be considered evil or have the appearance of evil?

1 Thess. 5:16-22
16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

19 Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not treat prophecies with contempt 21 but test them all; hold on to what is good, 22 reject every kind of evil.

What it means is the appearence of be a person that doesn't work love and peace toward others. Don't walk around looking threatening, don't act unpeaceably, don't join the Klan, don't appear as though you're harmful to others, don't bicker and argue against one another, don't be disorderly, don't appear as if you don't care about others, show no ill-will toward men, and no unpeaceful intents. Love is good; hate is evil. It has nothing to do with reality television. Though that stuff will rot your brain.

Romans 12:9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Thinking reality tv shows as sinful is like saying violence is sinful.
Not inherently sinful,
but the days are coming where these things will not be allowed anymore, and people will be made to dwell greater, or to dwell in the depths.

Each show should stand or fall on their own merit. Just because something appears on TV doesn't automatically mean it has the appearance of evil. That said if you are watching such shows as 'Pee-Wee's Exorcism Funhouse Hour', then you might want to examine your habit a wee bit more.

Personally, I dumped cable almost 3 years ago. One of my best decisions ever.

I don't know if it is different in the US, but in Australia Reality TV Shows represent not so much sin as a Crime Against the Intellect!

The formula seems to be that we take 'ordinary' (though quite often attractive) people and apply absurd and ridiculous and indeed 'unreal' pressure to them and in a manipulated way produce 12 minutes of footage, which with Station Announcements, Advertising, and mini repeats after adds so we can remember what was happening, produce 1 hour of programming.

My view is that the brain is a bit like a hard drive, and space is precious, so I don't need to fill it with rubbish.

We subscribed to Netflix in 2016 and watching shows for an hour at a time without advertising is such a pleasure, however it has shortened my tolerance. I have little trouble justifying the $10 a month it takes for a far more pleasurable experience.

Hell's Kitchen is okay. Avoid all the others like the plague.

That said, I do enjoy watching via YouTube episodes of the show about your Border force. There was a properly good episode featuring someone trying to sneak in a Taser from Malaysia.

I watch Masterchef - British, Australian, NZ and Usa (can't cook, just like watching), and Great British Bake Off (GBBO). I have recently started watching the Apprentice, but none of the others. I did enjoy Dancing on ice, but have never got into Strictly.

I probably watch too much tv, but it is good to have on if I am doing craft work.

Television is good for the flesh. For the sinful nature (the flesh) is always hostile to God. It never did obey God's laws, and it never will.

Maybe not; but there are some interesting, informative and inspirational programmes on television. There are some Christian channels too. And there could well be Christians working in tv who believe that God has put them there to serve him.
