Apperantly CC has the plague...

That forum is about to implode. Staff is leaving quick, one might think the forum has the plague.

And that's not actually a bad analogy, either. I've been lurking there the last two weeks since I rescinded my membership and I just cannot figure out what is going on there. Their own members are being reported by other members, yet in several reports they are "screaming" for the rules to protect them from invasion.

I've had to bite my tongue more times than I can count this morning. There is staff harassment going on in a very large way, and it's all I could do to not let loose on those perpetrating it.

Jim, you have my respect, totally, because I don't think I could take the beating you're getting right now. Given my "delicate" state I'd do one of two things: go off completely on all of them, or simply burst into tears!

She's allowed to express her opinion. It would be nice if someone started a topic that actually had to do with conservative christianity instead of this forum.

But she's doing EXACTLY what she points at US for... yet we're horrible for it.

Get the picture?? MANY are doing it - it doesn't bridge or heal or help anyone - yet the gossip & blame games continue.
If people want to preach "LOVE", then those same people should example it; esp. to the ones that they don't think are so loveable.

I am not going to report you. But, I had hoped that the members here would want to end all this nastiness that goes on in this forum and have a resurrection of some sorts...getting back to discussions that edify us.

I'm all for promoting peace, I had already started trying new threads for ideas & topics & fixes around here - but I will say this,
those who are out doing this gossip about CC'ers also need to be told to pipe it down and stop being the problem or feeding the problem. Correction needs to be equal to ALL guilty parties. Not just ours.

& there's plenty of blame to throw around this entire forum if you want to get serious about corrections. This is just one hotspot right now - that I don't doubt alot of the troubles are mostly hype, fueled by the type of posted gossip & backbiting in that post.

Look at the lurkers! Those who left here are sure here to read more almost daily. People are seeming to ENJOY reading strife... I ask why that is. So is it just US when I look up & see 10 people scrambling to get in & read one more juicy page?

Let's ALL be impartial and practice what we preach here. I call everyone to the same standards and the same fairness. Equality for all - if you see a bad thread or post here, and you see one somewhere else about us, correct BOTH, not just 1. (that is if you already haven't).
Becuz it makes their forums look just as nasty to a guest who stops in & reads their ridicule & vicious attacks. It is what it is no matter who does it.

Correcting some things or people here is fine where it's warrented, BUT PLEASE I ask you not to ignore the gossips & backbiters elsewhere using us as a platform for self promotion. (several I've seen were directly involved in this forum weeks ago and injecting opinions in reports).

If they preach love then love should be shown to all; otherwise its partial lipservice.

I think that when we see people posting unkind things about us elsewhere on the forums the best thing we can do is respectfully encourage them not to come here, both for their good and for ours. No one is forcing them to be in a place they despise.

I'm guessing that threads like this could actually be encouraging them to come back, if for no other purpose than to defend their points. And then we're right back where we started.

I fully support your right to post openly and honestly, but that means she's allowed to vent too, even if we don't agree with what she says.

Not to mention the fact that there is some truth in her post. I don't take it personally because I don't come here with the intention of causing trouble. So it simply does not apply to me, right? There are some serious problems here, and there are people on the official membership list who are right int he middle of all the mess. If you're not one of them (and I don't think you are) then you don't need to take it personally either.

I know you posted this thread because you care about CC and want to protect it. But I'm not sure if that's really possible.

I totally agree, Nadiine. I think the biggest challenge is to correct one another in an objective, godly way, not a reactionary one.

Yepper. I just have "issues" with fairness. (may need to turn on a Yanni tape & stare into a bright light to search my infancy for lack of fairness committed).
