I don't know about you guys, but aren't you sick of teenagers who are stinkin' apathetic!?!? I am for sure!! I go to a Christian school and it's so ridiculous! In my class of 24 students... only 5 of us actually care about Christ and stand up for Him! A recent survey from our Bible class:
24 students:
17 claim to be Christian
3 are Atheists.. (More like rebellious kids looking for away around God's rules.)
2 Not sure if they are saved
2 Don't really care about anything
17 claim to be Christian... My personal opinion I'd say maybe 12 actually are, but I can't know their hearts... just their fruit.
So where are all they, not on fire for Christ, that is for sure.
Revelation 3:15-19
I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! 16 So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. 17 For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked. 18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see. 19 Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.
This is serious stuff! Lukewarmness seems to be an epidemic everywhere! And ya want to know what the cause is? Idols... Idols are everywhere these days!! Tv, clothes, music, video games, girlfriend/boyfriend, sports, and so many things get in the way of Christ!! Apathy will gain you nothing! If you have salvation, which in my opinion, many are not saved. They won't have any gems to present to Christ in heaven! We got to rep Him by the way we live! Who cares if they laugh at us, what does that matter? Jesus freaks... amen! I get flack everyday! I work at a messianic jewish camp in the summer.. Guess I made the mistake of telling one of my "friends". Guess what, because I learned about the Bible and strive for Christ, every other word out of most kids mouth is, "you dirty jew", or something of that horrible nature (btw I'm not jewish at all lol
) But who cares!! I got Jesus man! He is all that matters to me!
Who's with me? Who wants to bring a revolution to schools and churches everywhere?!?! We can do it! It all starts on our knees, praying, begging, pleading for those who don't know Christ, and to rekindle a fire for those who are saved!!
How many people see this as much as I do?
Also, what do you guys see the root cause of it?
How can we stop this epidemic?
Lastly, I want to challenge you guys to throw down all idols and make Joshua 24:19 a reality!
And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the LORD, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
