  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Anyone up for a more serious RPG?

Was wondering if anyone around here would even be interested in an RPG that actualy has guidelines and rules (not that i have anything against the other ones around here) We would probably be useing the LOTR RPG, simply because i have the books and thus the rules are already set up. The catch to this is that you would have to learn the the rules. Over all they'r pretty simple, if youve played other RPG's before they should be a breeze to get down.

Ive come across a program that acts as a "table top". It sets up a battle map, chat box and dice and can be used with any RPG. Thats the only way i can think of to actualy pull this off, simply because you need to be able to talk back and forth alot faster than the forums allow. Otherwise the quests would take decades to actually do.

Lemme know what you think, either for it or against it, thanks.
