Anyone seen The Nativity?

The other thread has to many discussions about religion.

I want know what people thought of the movie.

I want to take my daughters to see it.

How does it compare to the bible?
Is it interesting?
What did you like or dislike about it?

Yep! Went yesterday after church...well...we ate at the Diner first.

It gave us an idea as to who Mary and Joseph really where (personalities, relationship, way of life, etc.) and added that sense of realism and to what it must have really been like for Mary and Joseph back in the day. Where The Bible doesn't but it's not like it's blasphemous or anything like that.
I loved the scene where Joseph is talking to Mary about Jesus as they wondered what Jesus would be like and what it would be like to be His "parents"...I thought: "Yeah, that would be me!"

The only thing I didn't like was where they chose to begin the movie as far as the very first scenes you see and where they chose to end it. And I just wished (movie) Mary had a little bit more of a personality...she always seemed so dry and expressionless...but hey, everyone's a critic, right?

Anyway, I saw it and loved it and I recommend it highly!

That's true...Trailers always make movies seem more interesting than it really is...there are also scenes in the Trailers that you never see in the actual movie... In any case this movie was wonderful...Let me know what you think when you see it yourself - and don't wait for the DVD!

my grandma said i should see it.isent it about mary traveling to that place to give birth to jesus?i think that what the move is about.

I did and it was nice but could have been better.I give it a 7.
