lol, maybe predictable is a better word.I never heard of 'sin-eating' before so it would be a very original movie for me,LOL!
Did you ever see the tv series "Christy"? It just came out on DVD.
The man who plays Brogan Kai in "The Last Sin Eater" was a regular on "Christy." Stewart Finlay-McLennan.
If you haven't seen "Christy" I think you'd love it! The series ran for 2 years, wish it had been on much longer.

The Sin Eater movie was great. When you get the DVD see the extra stuff on the DVD and it will tell you about where she got the story for her book.I read the book, "The Last Sin Eater" about a year before I saw the movie.
Actually there is absolutely nothing cliche or predictable about this book/movie.
The book was awesome, and clearly defined how some old time cultures lived their lives knowing nothing of Jesus and salvation.
The movie was lacking several important aspects of the book, which would have explained a lot of holes. (For example, the whole story of the Sin Eater's identity, and who is family was).
Francine Rivers is , simply the best Christian Fiction writer I have ever read. Her Mark of the Lion Trilogy is flawless, and a huge blessing to anyone who reads them. (A Voice in the Wind, An Echo in the Darkness, and As Sure as the Dawn).
I would *LOVE* to see these books made into movies, but I would hate to see them destroyed like so many books are when they are brought to film!
