Anyone see Bernie?

I can't wait to see it. It's based off of a true murder story down in East Texas. I was excited to see Jack Black was the star of the film along with Shirley MacLaine.

New York times has an awesome review of the film. I couldn't link it since I'm new to the forums but you can try googling it if you want to read it. They also have a great Facebook page you can check out to see videos and photos from the film.

Bernie ~ it's based on a Texas Monthly article, this could be an interesting film From the original article:

Marjorie Nugent was the richest widow in an eccentric town full of rich widows. Bernie Tiede was an assistant funeral home director who became her companion. When she disappeared, nobody seemed alarmed. When he confessed to killing her, nobody seemed outraged.

This reminds me of the film Drowning Mona (2000) in which Bette Midler portrays a nasty woman who gets murdered. Many of the townsfolk have motives to kill Mona, and many of them are relieved that Mona's dead. It's a hilarious movie
