Anyone play golf?

I get out a few times a year to play golf. Love to want the fairways.
Today I played as bad as any time I have played. But the time before I played the my
best 18 holes ever!

Anyone here get out to play?

I don't play, but I live on a golf course. Literally. My property backs up to the fairway of the third hole of our local municipal course. I guess I really should think about learning.

Technically I'm not supposed to post here, but golf is one of my favorite hobbies (and the most favorite that I really can't afford to do all the time).

I haven't been out in a couple months...I'm itching to go out as soon as I can scrape together enough dough for the green fees.

Ya, Music .. would be a short drive to the club house.

Broken .. it can cost a lot, luckly there are some courses neear me that aren't too bad.

I think it's such a silly silly game. Trying to hit a tiny ball in a tiny hole across the field.

But I enjoy the exersize, most golf courses are pretty and it really blesses my heart to see God beuaty while playing the game.

It it wasn't so hot out today, I'd be tempted to play that silly game today! LOL

Hot? lol. I remember one time my husband and his friend decided they were going to try golfing (try being the operative word lol). They were construction workers and used to the heat in AZ, so they opted not to get a cart for the 18 hole course in AUGUST!~ About 9 holes into it, they were so hot, and so wiped out, they said they wanted to just chuck their clubs and quit! (I don't blame them) and we used to laugh about that day all the time. Thankfully he never fully picked up the game (because it is expensive as you know) so I am grateful for that.

That is one funny story.

Ya, its not as easy as a walk, yet its no where near as hard as say basketball. As for cost there are courses here that are a low as $12 for 9 holes. That is in line with the cost of going to the movies. If one is renting clubs and a cart on top of the green fees it wuld add up fast.

Did you also know they have golf "widows" in Ireland too lol? I met a nice couple from Ireland while on a cruise last month. They are retired and have no children. I asked what they did with their time and she told me how "he" plays golf 3-4 times a week, and that she was a golf "widow". I, for one, did not know they had those there, did you?

I would need like all day.. and a very patient person.. and probably it would be a very funny experience..

Yes. I have heard of golf widows. It takes about 4 hours to plaay 18 holes. Then a stop at for food at the club or a drink adds another hour. So it takes some time to play.

I was just thinking I might get out and play tomorrow.

Ya, it can be a funny experience maying golf. Yet one can do pretty good if one can hit the ball pretty straight. Even a hit that just goes 50 yards but is straight will get one onto the green in 3 to 5 shoots. A couple of puts and your doing as good as most people.

I'd love to get out and play gold this week ... but my company said we are all working 10 hour days this week ... Ahh, well, I'll soon be out of there! And I'm going to put a game of golf hike on the list. Also an overhight hike is on my list. Don't think my GF will like that.

i plyed (computer key is stuck) it competitively in high school. Now, once in while, but it's too costly for my budget

Ya, it does cost some bucks. I play on a course that had a half price after 4PM Friday this summer. Made it pretty reasonable. Love a good walk on a pretty course.
