Anyone minor in two languages?

At the moments I am taking alot of prequisites because I didn't so well in high school. But I am stil debating about what I'd like to major in. I would love to learn french and spanish so I am thinking of minoring in them both while being a geography or geology major. I'd like to learn both languages for cultural reasons (french to communicate with certain family members) and for employment ( spanish to help me when i become a pharmacist). Has anyone managed to learn two languages at the same time? I'm wondering if I'm overdoing it.

I've heard that the more languages that a person knows, the easier it is learn another one. A lot of different languages have similar roots, so learning one can help to learn another.

Of course, that's just what I've heard from others - I only know English myself.

 

[Misnomer]

Personally I didn't but since I was a French major I knew plenty of people who were minoring in 2 or 3 languages in addition to whatever major language they were persuing.
