I use IE,FF,OP all 3 depending on what I'm doing
My laptop has the beta of 7 on, but needs to be re-installed, somthing went wrong with it, and bookmarks / shortcuts wont work with it.

a browser war I seen a bunch of people discussing the advantages of for-mentioned IE7 . Ive used the beta 2 for like 3 months now. The onlly bug ive found is the text editing has some bugs (its a bit slow) but the tabbed browsing is nice and I like it for scripting and networking capabilities. You can have MORE security with IE if you know how to tweak it properly GOD bless all you boombas =))

I've used all the betas of IE7. The first was atrocious, the current one is actually a pretty decent usable browser. Still not as good as Firefox, but close.

If only you could use NT authentication in Firefox, then I'd be happy.

I've tried the beta version. There is a better browser that does all the same things (but BETTER) called Avant Browser. It uses the IE engine so it's a lot more stable than Firefox.

I have been using IE 7 for a spell now and have had absolutely no problems. It is also very straight forward and fun to use.

I've tried Firefox and Thunderbird and the fact is, when you run into trouble, you're on your own.

and that's not the case with any of microsoft's products?

there's a huge community behind firefox and thunderbird. you can just browse through the mozillazine forums and get TONS of help, tips, tricks, and other excellent info there.

however, in my case, they *just work*. something i have not yet been able to say about any microsoft software.

I must concur. M$ let IE 6 languish for years without much attention and definitely not many new features.
