I struggle with my wieght because of my appetite, I pray for victory and little by little He is changing my eating desires. I love all of those things we shouldn't have like anything sweet and of course, fries. But in the last couple of years I became vegetarian and am now vegan (no animal products including dairy or eggs). I have never felt better. For fries I scrub my potatoes and slice them with the skins. Then I put a small amount of virgin olive oil on a rimmed cookie sheet and roll the fries in it to coat. I then salt them and bake for 20 min. at 400 degrees. After 20 min. I turn them over for another 10 or so min. I like mine crisy so I cut them thin. Olive oil is very good for us in moderation. Salt is needed in small quantities. I salt mine because I eat mostly raw or steamed food with no salt in the processing. Nearly every canned or other packaged food is loaded with salt and sugar (another killer). So I buy foods that have nothing but water and maybe salt. One of the most beneficial things I have learned is that when my body says I am hungry it is really needing water. So I drink water whenever I get a craving between meals. It helps with the munchies and the complextion. I hope you enjoy your dieting otherwise it won't last. But it can be fun experimenting with new and healthy food. I became vegetarian after a serious illness that nearly took my life. When I turned to our Blessed Savior for help He lead me to a more natural diet. My sisterly love through our Great Physican
