  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

ah, though i know of many bands from the region (northen europe, scandinavia), i've mostly heard of death, power and black metal bands from that area.

no flame, but what makes them so great to you. I'm sure i'd have to look into them if something about them can make someone who doesn't even like that kind of music, like a band who plays it.

haha, well if you do...then i suggest you don't look into their "Mother Earth" CD because it's more new age. (which i like anyways). You'd probably like the more metal CD, "Silent Force"

then i'll look into them then, gotta expand horizons ya know? have to look into new things..

I love Within Temptation! Have you heard their first CD Enter? It's very very good. :) Especially the song Restless. But Ice Queen is my favorite song by them I think. You might also like Nightwish, they are heavier than WT but they are just amazing... :)

me niether, but for some reason, this did. Trust me i usually HATE goth/rock with a burning passion...
Just to clarify, when you say 'goth', I assume you mean the recent wave of goth-flavored nü-metal a la Evanescence (or misidentified Industrial music), or do you actually mean real Goth Rock (Bauhaus, Joy Division, The Sisters Of Mercy, The Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees, All About Eve, etc.)?

thats what i wonder as well. Far too many people label any band they think is 'dark' as gothic, which is like saying any band that plays metal is satanic...
