Did anyone here have a chance to go to Lifest?

Being both a new Christian and new to the area, I don't know very much about it. I was interested in going, but the ticket price is a bit steep. Maybe I'll be able to make it next year.

If anyone went, I'd love to hear about the experience!

I was at Lifest last night till 1:00 AM--I'd LOVE to camp there all four days sometime, but we're going out of town later today so I could only go for one day. It was my first time (I'd wanted to go before but never gotten a chance) and it was great! Lots of variety in shows, but we stayed at one stage the whole time to keep our seats--we were right up front. I saw Casting Crowns, Tobymac, and then the group I'd mainly come for, the Newsboys!! It was a great show and you should really go next year if you can. Well, you can still go this year (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) if you want to buy a ticket at the gate. It was really awesome!!
~By the way, if price is a problem and you wanted to go for all four days, you save a LOT of money by getting the 4-day pass. I think it was $38 for one day and $72 for all four days combined--If I was home all weekend I definitely would have gone all four days, that's a great deal!

Hi Ischus!

Appleton huh? That's hometown to Milwaukee Brewers newest player. Erikson is the last name...he grounded out in his first at bat the other day. I'm sure he'll get better

Hey what's the size of the crowd like at Lifefest? Give an estimate if you can please. Where exactly is the site for this in Oshkosh? I'd really like to go some year!

It's at the... oh, darn, I forgot the name. Winnebago County Fairgrounds, maybe, or something like that?
But for the crowd size, I was talking to one of the traffic directors. He said they expect 2000 cars a day, and I'd say there's an average of four people per car. I don't think he was including the overnight camping people, because we were talking about the number of cars in the daytime parking lot. We took a helicopter ride there over the grounds, though, and I'd say there were at least 400 tents, probably more. And that was early in the day so I'm sure more people arrived after I saw the tent sites.

I went to Lifest, It was awesome!!! And I went all 4 days, I got in for free because I volunteered, so if money is a problem you can do that next year. I can't wait to go again next year. I love Newsboys, Reliant K, And Kutless, and everyone else that was there. There was over 9000 campers, and like an estimated 6000 day to day lifest goers. so anyways.

Man that sounds familiar .....AH Yes! I use to say that all the time 10 years ago when I was 30 something years old. LOL, I miss my kids being little and dependent but I do love the freedom!!!

Today I was at the Wisconsin State Fair in West Allis for the first time and boy did I and my family have a great time! I think I'm going to have to do an extra work out because all the food I ate but boy was it worth it! My neice and I took a ride on the ejection seat and that was a big trill!!! 20 bucks a crack was steep so we only went once but I told her next year I will be back to do it again!

Saw George Thorogood play, one of the last great rockers, we danced and just had a great time. I wish you all could've been along.

I'm gonna go to the State Fair with the sole purpose of having a cream puff. Everything is secondary to the cream puffs. It's so worth the lines.
This was my first time at the State Fair and there was just so much to do and see that I wasn't going to stand in line for an hour to get a cream puff even though everybody told me it is worth the wait. Maybe next year?

Actually, even though the lines are ridiculously long, they move very swiftly. The entire wall where you're watching them make it actually feels like it moves too fast, because I just love watching them put in the cream! The funny thing I find is that the length of the line really speaks for itself. People who have already had them know that it's well worth the wait. Plus, if you're there with friends, you're gonna be talking anyway Why not just talk in line instead of while walking?
