anyone has experience playing the violin to worship?

i use to play the violin....it would sound neat in worship...i went to a church once that had a violin in worship...i added to the worship and made it more effective..

what kind of worship music go and don't go with the violin?
which line do you play - melody or harmony?
do you use the chords on the sheet music or do you improvise in some other way?
how do you play songs that you have never heard before from the chords?

I used to play in a group and we played all sorts of music, using both melodies and harmonies, most tunes will work if arranged correctly.

i play violin at my church, i used to make up parts from the piano and guitar parts but now we have books that have parts especially for violin along with the typical instruments

I saw this guy in a service with Tommy Tenney. I have honestly never heard anything like it. It was the most beautiful, anointed music I have ever heard. His name is Mark Lewis. I bought one of his CDs and visited his website at geocities.com/worshipviolin . Check this guy out. It is just amazing what God is doing with this guy. When he played I felt like I was already in Heaven. It was very powerful.
