Any truth to the "luz" bone

The word luz in Hebrew (Hebrew: 'לוז') means nut or almond. Because of this it became associated with the small bone at the top of the spinal column (the seventh cervical vertebra) or the coccyx, the small bone at the base of the spinal column, depending on the tradition.

And if so which is it, something at the top of the spinal column or the coccyx?
The second question, does it really not burn?

That is the legend.. this bone does not burn. I took anatomy, and never heard nor was taught about this bone.

Can you post where you found out about the legend? I took anatomy took and never heard about it being called that.

Also in the burning, you mean like if the body was cremated?

Interesting, perhaps their way back then of describing DNA? For any part of our bodies that remain DNA can be extracted and from that we could be 'reborn', perhaps that is what happens in the resurrection and how we will be recognizable to those who knew us when.

A small bone in the human spinal column, believed in Muslim and Jewish traditions to be the indestructible bone from which the body will be rebuilt at the time of resurrection.
