I've been reacquainting myself with SM, although I'll be honest...it took me a little getting used to watching w/subtitles. I was used to the Americanized, dubbed version...but I'm LOVING the originals!

I'm glad I could help. I would just suggest that after you finish the other series, you view Sailor Stars before you let your children see it. I'm not sure how you'd feel about some of the content so you may want to watch it first and decide if you think it's appropriate.

Thankfully, thanks to a friend who has a killer Sailor Moon website, I'm pretty well-versed in the later seasons. I just haven't been able to actually WATCH the episodes. Personally, I think the first 2 (and the 3 movies) are sufficient until the girls are older.

For the record, my favorite of the Sailor Scouts is Jupiter. Don't know why...something about her resonates with me. (I know, I'm a little old for that, but what the hey...)

Is anyone familiar with Sailor Moon Abridged series? If you're into abriged anime I would recommend watching it.

I love it But I need answer from you guys... somethings have been on my mind... I think I love it too much cause I watch it ALOT lol but I don't believe it's real or worship stars or anything I think its so sweet how they act and how friendship and love wins in the end, I even like to think (From the last season Stars) that sailor moon is angel from heaven in the show lol and Im in a musical group for sailor moon, but I still full heartly believe in jesus christ because he has proven to me that he is watching over me
so my question is it wrong to watch it or should I feel quilty? because alot of people think it pushes witchcraft and homosexuality even though I wouldn't dream of doing either of those lol

I am a 22 year old guy who likes Sailor Moon. It is a very fun, very imaginative, yet very deep story. There's lots of comedy as well as lots of character growth and plot. I really enjoy watching the Japanese subbed verision (this is preferable with almost any anime I think) rather than the American version. Some of the changes don't even make sense. I don't particularly care for Uranus and Neptune's relationship but it's better than the incest America tried to give us.

Bottom line, cool show and cool manga.

Obviously you're not the only Christian here who watches and enjoys the show. I don't think you should feel guilty. I don't believe it pushes witchcraft or homosexuality, while those elements exists, they're not the main focus of the show.

Thank you ^^ yea that's why I love this website cause I was like "Yes, Im not the only one ^^" Cause every christian thingy says avoid it or It has satanism in (appartently her hand pose is a satan sign :/ I don't believe though cause takeuchi is christian) but thank you I see you like FMA too love that show especially brotherhood

If you are true to what you know is the right then how would this influence you? As someone else mentioned there are others on here that enjoy the series and others that thouch on these things that are not Christian. It does not influence us into sin or into changing our Love and Worship for God.

If exposure to those things were so bad to us then we would have to live in a bubble because it is everywhere. I can't turn on the t.v. or log onto a website without those subjects coming up somewhere. If you can watch it and see those things yet not be influenced by them then I think you have some really strong practice in wearing your armor against it in real life

Well if it makes you feel any better, just know that many Christians here enjoy other anime series that are worse than Sailor Moon in terms of things like subject matter.

Isn't that true. I myself enjoy some that are very racy but I remind myself that these shows come from a different culture. One that has other ideas and creeds that do not go along with what we believe as Christians. I don't think that it is bad. It is entertainment and I know how far I am willing to watch something. If it is bothersome I turn it off.

I'm a guy and have been a long time Sailor Moon fan since I was six. My older brother got me into it when I visited him one time. He showed a VHS video of Sailor Moon that contained two random episodes of the Sailor Moon dub and it immediately got me hooked. It was the very first anime I ever saw and has since then been my number one favorite.

I like Sailor Moon because I always thought of it as positive family show that dealt with principle, compassion, life, and at times faith, although I wouldn't neccessarily call a religious show. So you can say that lean a little more toward the dub than the original. I like the original because of its better dialogue and uncut scenes(not all though), but I don't like the other things in the original, such as the homosexuality and eventually nudity. And don't get me started on the Starlights, please.

I'm probably one of the few fans out there that sees Sailor Moon differently than I do. To me, Sailor Moon could've been so much more than what it was in the anime. It had the potential to be something greater, but never got the chance because the content it had like I mentioned above.

I have a huge imagination and as someone who likes to write fanfiction, I started writing my own version of Sailor Moon along with a spinoff series called Sailor Scouts Universe, which deals Sailor Moon's ancient past, the Silver Millennium. Both, however, lead to one thing: Space exploration, discovery, and historic events that made the Sailor Scouts and their allies the true heroes of the galaxy.

Sorry, got a little carried away there. But anyway, I am a Sailor Moon fan and wouldn't mind sharing my work of it with your guys. I'll end this post with this quote I wrote:

Sailors of the Past
Sailors in the Present
And Sailors from the Future
All unite for one purpose
To uphold peace, truth, and justice
In the protection of our galaxy
They are the Sailor Scouts Universe

Sailor moon got me started on Anime. I remember watching it when i was around 14 or so and fell in love!! And have been a huge Anime fan ever since.

I've been a Sailor Moon fan since I was maybe 6 or 7. Also the first anime show I watched. It's really the only one I like, apart from the Tenchi Muyo series.

I have most of the episodes taped and I have the three movies, one of them uncut and left in Japanese with English subtitles.

I have only recently become an anime fan (and have quickly become obsessed!), but Sailor Moon is my favourite. I have watched it as a teenager (I never appreciated it when I was younger....) I am currently watching it through from episode 1 in Japanese, which--IMO--is far superior to the English because they don't edit everything out. I also find it better to hear the original voices. My favourite is Usagi, and I am looking forward to watching some of the later episodes that I have never seen before.
