I took up quilting about 6 years ago. I was wondering if there are any other quilters here.
If there are, what do you think of this idea:
I would like to make a reversible quilt for my son. He will be graduating from high school next fall. He really likes a certain pattern, but a lot of the fabric I have collected won't work as well with that pattern. I really want to use some of the fabrics I have already collected. So, I thought I could design my own pattern for the other side of the quilt and make the front side with the pattern he chose and just find some more suitable fabrics for that side.
I have never done this and I am concerned about lining up both quilts before and during the basting step (which is my least favorite part of quilting).
