  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My 2 1/2 month old has thrush really bad. 2 weeks ago, she had a ear infection and they gave her an antiobotic. Well now she has thrush and a yeast rash on her bottom and another yeast rash on her neck. AHHHHH, it's a pain in the booty. I took her back to the doc yesterday and he gave me stronger meds and creams for her rashes. But it looks awful and it must iche burn hurt cause she's really fussy. Plus she has another ear infection but the doc doesn't want to precrib another antiobotic cause of what the last one has caused. I'm frustrated, advice please. :help:

It's not showing up here either.

That poor baby has been through a lot in her short little life, hasn't she? I feel so bad for her. I have no advice about baby thrush, but I did just say a prayer for her.

Is she a candidate for having tubes put in her ears? I've had friends who have had this done with their children and it's helped tons. I'm not sure how old they have to be though.

Hope she's better soon!

She has been through alot and I'm ready for it to slowed down. She has been to the doc at least 2 times every week. We live in Texas so the weather is so werid, plus my 4 year old loves her so much he won't stay out of her face. thanks for your prayers, oh and I'm gonna try the attachment again.

My younger daughter had thrush, but I don't remember much about it -- it was eight years ago! She had mycostatin (I think) for the thrush, and I had to use it on my nipples as well. It cleared up pretty quickly. I wonder if it might have helped that she was purely breast-fed, and that I was on a hypo-allergenic diet the whole time I was breastfeeding (a very boring diet it was, too!)

Anti-biotics at that age wreak havoc on the immune system. My elder daughter had pneumonia at two months. Anti-biotics probably saved her life, but she seemed to have an ear infection every few weeks after that. They did at one point recommend putting tubes in her ears "if she has another one" -- at which point thank goodness the infections finally stopped.

Cuddle her lots and comfort her as much as you can -- that's the only advice I can think of!
