any new gundam series??

Does anyone know if they are comin out with a new series after Gundam Seed

I've read that they are currently producing a sequel series to Gundam Seed. Don't know off the top of my head when it is supposed to come out though.

I personally hope they don't. As an avid universal century (particularly one-year war) fan, I haven't seen how these new gundam series correspond to anything from the original series (and I'm not just talking about how they obviously are not in the same timeline, but that they approach the idea of giant robots differently, have different ways of getting their points across, etc.) Not that I have any deep seated hatred against the new series, I just wish that they'd get a different name. It's not like gundam has a monopoly on giant robots anyway, or even like they invented the genre.

New series as in new in Japan, or new as in new on Cartoon Network? If it's new on Cartoon Network, there's a good 20+ years worth of Gundam series to pull from, and only a few of them have been brought over, or at least aired. As far as I know, Gundam X has still not been brought over. That makes at least one series.

They are making a sequel to SEED, is called Gundam SEED Destiny.

I hope they release Gundam X in the U.S. soon. That was my favorite AU Gundam Series (I haven't seen Gundam Seed yet. I'm waiting for the DVDs)
