I'm new to the site, I'm just curious as to how many other people are deticated fans to this excelent band...
Have listened to Jars since "Flood" hit the secular scene in 95 but was never a big fan even after I got really into Christian music.

NOW, however, I am really starting to like them. They're outstanding lyrically. I love "Silence."

I always though Jars of Clay was somwhat boring to lsiten to. But then i realized that my three favorite songs are done by them! Valley, This Road, Love Song are all incredible. I am in to their more upbeat stuff...but their newer stuff is very poetic, and the best lyrics Ihave seen. Who We are Instead is a amaing album to listen to. Not really a dancing CD but I love to listen to it whrn I go to bed.

Jars of Clay is THE top Christian band for me. Their songs are meaningful, delve into personal issues and they are just all around good musicians. I've seen them in concert twice and the lead singer, Dan Haseltine, runs around all over the stage playing all kinds of instruments. I love it when musicians are actually musicians and aren't limited in what they do. I love this band and will go see them anytime they are close.
