Fair enough! I don't suppose there's a hard-and-fast definition to it. I just think of "hiking" as being away from civilization somewhat, with my feet on a dirt trail, and unlikely to run into other people.I agree, with one exception. We have new paved trails at a nearby park that meanders through wooded areas and alongside the Mississippi River. I consider that hiking, too.
I think everybody has a different definition.Fair enough! I don't suppose there's a hard-and-fast definition to it. I just think of "hiking" as being away from civilization somewhat, with my feet on a dirt trail, and unlikely to run into other people.
Oh gosh I’m hoping to have some summer days where the weather is more tolerable here. Until recently, I didn’t exercise at all, so I don’t want to get out of the habit or lose any strength I might achieve.I won't be hiking again till autumn myselfSomething to look forward to, at least!
I hate spiders and it’s possible that the next time I see a snake (saw one many years ago when hubby, the dogs and I were walking around a pond) it’ll be my last time hiking. For sure it will be the last time I go to that place. I’ve only been to that park we saw the snake at, maybe once, and I have not and will not walk around that pond again.Summers here are humid from start to finish, and the woods are full of mosquitoes, biting flies, ticks, spiders, etc. Not fun for me!
I've been doing Youtube workout routines to keep in shape until it's hiking time again! They actually work my body a lot harder than hiking, but it feels great
Do you enjoy hiking?
I haven’t hiked since the weather got hot and humid. I’m looking forward to getting back into it when the temperatures get lower.I hate spiders and it’s possible that the next time I see a snake (saw one many years ago when hubby, the dogs and I were walking around a pond) it’ll be my last time hiking. We live in Missouri so I’m no stranger to heat and humidity.
Yeah, my church reopened for just a few weeks now we’re back to streaming our services. Another church I sometimes go to is still having in person worship, even after our county has toughened its restrictions. I don’t see how they’ll be able to follow guidelines at all.I enjoy hiking. I was trying to find a Christian hiking group in the Connecticut area, i realize i really need some Christian friends in my life and its tough with churches doing virtual services
