I've been seeking the Lord lately about His calling on my life. I've always had a heart for the persecuted church, especially in Communist countries, and I believe the Lord gave me that empathy for a reason. I don't know everything He wants me to do, but I do know I can't do anything until I address my feelings about Marxism/Communism--feelings that have festered for years.

Two people I cared about in my past were innocent victims of Communism. One of them had several close relatives killed; the other was tortured and left physically disabled.

Because of that, I have some very strong negative attitudes about Marxism/Communism. Even though many times I've asked the Lord to help me see Marxists/Communists as He sees them, I find it impossible to love them as Jesus did. I know it's theoretically possible for them to embrace the gospel, but I know of none who actually have.

I know that attitude is not pleasing to God, but I can't help but feel that any divine or human mercy shown to Communists is a betrayal of their innocent victims. What am I supposed to do about those feelings?

If there's anyone on this forum who became a Christian out of a Marxist/Communist background, I need someone to dialogue with. Please PM or email me.

Thanks.
