Any Choir Geeks In Here?

I have been in choir since I was in grade school. I sing first tenor. I also sing Depeche Mode. So anyone else sing around here?

I used to be. I was even in our college choir.

I come from a very musical family. My grandfather even put out a record back in the '50s.

Well I'm not at school anymore, but I was the biggest choir geek. I was mostly an Alto. It was great fun.

Oh. I forgot to add that I am naturally a contra alto. In highschool I sang 2nd soprano, 1st alto, 2nd alto, and 1st tenor depending on which part was needed most. In college I sang 2nd alto.

That is cool. I am still singing tenor in a local choir. It is fun. I enjoy it. Glad to see that we are not a dying breed. After listening to American Idol I am glad there are people who CAN sing.

My sister sang alto, then moved onto tenor.

She has a huge range - she can sing a high soprano and a low tenor, she can go lower than the guys!

Yup, she loved it. And she's sooo tiny and skinny! It's funny. She can go to a C below middle C or something. Crazy.

*Raises her hand* I would call myself a choir geek even though I just started this year. Can't imagine how I ever lived without it. Not sure what I am naturally, but I can sing any alto or soprano part and some tenor parts. I'm currently singing second alto.

I loved it!! It was especially great at school coz we had a christian music teacher who chose all these beautiful songs for us to sing like "the Lord is my Shephard"

I loved being in a choir!

Chiors are great. We are doing an Americana seires and Bethoveen's 9th. He must have hated Tenors. All those high G's

*Rolls eyes* Tenors. I would pay money to sing with the Sopranos for a day so I could hit a few high G's. Alto harmonies might be gorgeous sometimes but they aren't very challenging and they always get drowned out by those piercing Soprano notes.
