Just wondering if there were any OBOBers from VA. I am curious to know what the work situation and how real estate is there. Any good towns or counties you suggest I look into. Thank you much!

Housing is crazy here; my house went up 60% in value in 3 yrs. I could not afford to live here if I was not already here.
Job market is really good for contractors. There is so much work, that people are working multiple sites and doing poor work because they are spread too thin; if a person of integrity came in, he could clean up, literally and figuratively![]()
Is there any particular reason why you'd want to be in the East Coast? Because if you're thinking about moving to America, then IMO, Texas is the way to go! (or maybe it's just because I'm a San Antonio resident) To my knowledge, real estate is cheap, taxes are good compared to other states, and there are many strong, conservative Catholic communities around.PeterPaul said:Ok....how about the East Coast? Anyone except Zoomom (NC). She knows...been there, done that, got a t-shirt.
Ever hear of Charlotttesville, VA? The real estate there is expensive, but only 13miles out of town, it is really reasonable. It is about 1hr from Richmond and 1.5-2hrs from DC. Not sure of the job market though.PeterPaul said:Hey Bought, what about further north? I was thinking inbetween Richmond and DC (maybe close to Front Royal) Any info?
