I have to tell you about how great God is! (as if you already didn't know) My husband and I wanted a boxer so bad. We searched and searched for one, but never had any luck. Well, this went on for a couple months so we prayed that God will make a way for us to get one. One day out of the blue, my husband was driving to work and this male, fawn boxer ran right in front of the car. Almost hitting him, he slammed on the brakes and went on. This was a pretty good distance away from our house. A few days later, I saw him running around outside of our house so I went out to try to coax him to me. He wouldn't let me get near him. Well, for the next two weeks, we kept seeing him running around so we called the dog pound and come to find out, they had been trying to catch him too because of all the calls from people spotting him. We kept putting food out because one, he was very skinny and hungry, and two, to try to catch him. We finally agreed to let the pound put a trap on the back patio to try and get him that way. He outsmarted us all! He pulled the blanket with his paw and ate the food. (lol) We attempted so many times to get him to come to us, but he never would. I went out for something and saw him again so I tried talking to him and this time he stopped and looked at me for a long time. I slowly made my way towards him and he ran around a few houses and stopped again. To make a long two hours short (which is how long it took me to finally get him) He was so dehydrated and malnourished, if he would of went on any longer, he would of died. He layed down in our neighbors yard and gave me the most pathetic howl. I knew he was saying help me. I pet him for a little while and then we got up and walked right into the house. We were all so amazed. He totally adores our four children, cocker spaniel and cat. We know with all of our hearts that God sent us this dog. We even waited four weeks to see if someone would claim him and no one did. It just goes to show that God not only wants to supply our needs, but our wants as well. Oh by the way, his name is Maximus.
