• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Could you enlighten me? I understand that "blogging" is not a positive thing, at least at a site like this one. What is it that you do? How would it qualify under "Writers Guild"? cb

I am one but I was wondering whether "blogging" is also considered "writing."

well i don't know if i would consider myself a real writer but i do blog a little. one for a ministry websites so that people know whats going on and one for me as a freelance audio engineer so that there is something on the web about me haha. and to answer the other question. blogging is like an online journal. i can see why the people here at the CF wouldn't want that on here. it would just bog down the system and make everything slower than it already is. just to be on the safe side i'm not going to post any links to blog sites but you should google them and see what they are a little more indepth. i bet they would help you write more and get your stories out there or papers or whatever it is that you write.

Journals keep the creative juices flowing... blogging is like that too, but it can also be a little more seriously toned, as in political topics, etc. Journals are more like your own daily happenings put down, and your comments on your feelings about them.

... one who keeps a weblog. It is not forum posting, so one wouldn't expect it here in these forums. More about blogging here. Here is how Andrew Sullivan describes blogging.
