He is a quack. When Jesus returns it will be unexpectped and everyone in the world will know and I think no tv or radio will be needed because he will return and it will be known all over.

Jesus will return like a thief at night and no one expecting. We always have to be ready and he can come anytime he wants.

Our job is to spread the gosple and live our Christian faith try to reach out to the loss and help them get the bible. Bible is so good new/old is the best.

Jesus will return in his own time. The meantime just keep living your faith and if you can reach out to the lost society has gone has gone down hill. We need to build hopew to the lost no matter what. God nevers give up and he can use us at anytime. Just try to be open in God working in your life no matter what you are going through. He comforts those in pain and he strenthgens those that need work.

There will be many the bible says. The one who sets himself up in the temple will be the one that begins the beginning of the end.

I could see why he thinks there is no devil. It reminds me of a man who would dine beneath the Eiffil Tower because it was the only place in Paris were he would not have to see it.

Plus..isnt Antichrist to rise from Islam?
It is interesting that you would say that. Before you make any assertion such as this make a good foundation biblically.
First understand that the anti-Christ was mentioned before the second temple was destroyed and according to John was to appear rather soon. Also take note that Revelation makes no mention of anti-Christ.
The "Beast" is often substituted as the anti-Christ in error but it is clear that individual personalities are a representation.

Rev 17
8: The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is to ascend from the bottomless pit and go to perdition; and the dwellers on earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, will marvel to behold the beast, because it was and is not and is to come.
9: This calls for a mind with wisdom: the seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman is seated;
10: they are also seven kings, five of whom have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come, and when he comes he must remain only a little while.
11: As for the beast that was and is not, it is an eighth but it belongs to the seven, and it goes to perdition.
12: And the ten horns that you saw are ten kings who have not yet received royal power, but they are to receive authority as kings for one hour, together with the beast.
13: These are of one mind and give over their power and authority to the beast;
The harlot of Babylon, the Beast and the false profit are all representations of powers not individuals. The Beast is in no way the anti-Christ and there is no mention of such in Revelation which seems to be after 70 AD.

I posted the text right in front of you and you still insist on this nonsense. Its not an individual as the text says. Nero did not have 7 heads. ...for goodness sake.

Gwynedd,

You weren't posting that passage right in front of me. You & I must have been posting simultaneously, since your message wasn't there when I was typing. You were replying to the person who said that "the antichrist" would arise out of Islam.

But no, Nero didn't have 7 heads. Rome (of which the Imperator was considered the personification) was built on 7 hills.

The Book of Revelation is of the literary genre known as an Apocaplypse: a highly stylized form of polemic, characterized by (among other things) some rather transparent allegorical symbolism. Nero of the 7-hilled city, who suffered a grevious head wound but then recovered, who set up an image of himself in the Jerusalem Temple, upon whose death the Nero redivivus legend arose, and whose name when coded by Hebrew gematria has a number of 666, who was a persecutor of the church, was clearly the individual whom John was allegorizing in the character of the Beast.

Unless it's Pat Robertson;)

oh, and p.s. seriously - the guy I was referring to as being mentally ill is the guy referred to in the Original Post - the one who's claiming to be Jesus, or possessed by Jesus, or whatever he's claiming.

OK that is a much better postition that has an argument to support it in that Nero could help compose the Beast. I think Nero and this fellow both qualify for criminal mental illness.

I've heard the "Jesus ain't coming back, you rapture people are nuts" theology before, but it doesn't quite explain that much of Revelations was clearly unfulfilled. There was no Mark of the Beast as clearly described in Revelations.

I'm not saying he's never coming back. G*d forbid I would ever try to predict the activity of our ambiguous, surprising, frustrating, delightful God. I totally get that the last three chapters of the book of Revelation have yet to take place! But if you think that the 1st century Romans didn't use patriotism as a means of controling commerce, then you've never seen a big, huge American flag flying outside a car dealership. Mark of the Beast = buying and selling = common means of Roman populace control. There's no need to mysticalize that which is merely historical.
