  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Does God's word change? When it does, I will change my mind on war to match His. But so far as I know, we are still supposed to love our enemies, do good for those who hate us, feed those who seek to kill us and lend to them without expecting repayment.

God's ways are not like man's ways. War is not His first response to His enemies, and it should not be ours, either. He died for His enemies, must you kill yours?

What else can I say?  Lambslove illustrated it perfectly.

/me reminds people of the time when Jesus will come back and fight a very big war......

Pro-peace: I kinda don't like that, because it suggests that I am anti-peace or something like that becvause I supported the war. Not true. :)

Interesting choice of words.  I always thought that Revalation was very specific in pointing out that Christ will return at the climax of the war not to fight it, but to end it.

Ah.....

Ok, at the end of the tribulation He comes back, and basically subdues the whole world.

At the end of that tiem, however, Satan is released and AGAIN there is a rebellion against Christ - the more familiar term for taht war is "Armageddon"

However, the Bible never claims that Christ will resort to violence to end the war.  I firmly believe that the ways of Christ are not the ways of Man, and that He has a way that does not involve violence.
